My Sweet Valentine & Silver

Good Morning Bloggers,
Happy valentines day to everyone, hope you all have a fabtastic day, speaking of fab days I had the best one on saturday as I got to spend the day playing with metal clay, I had booked onto a one day course with the talented Tracey Spurgin of http://www.craftworx.com/ .
I highly recommend Tracey and her course as she is not only a friendly bubbly lady but very patient too and you get plenty of time to ask questions.
On the day we made 3 pendants which you take home at the end of the day, My favourite piece is my sweet valentine heart which does have a slight hairline crack as I dropped it half way through the making process ohhhh the pain,but Tracey kindly showed me how to mend my broken heart Yippieee....and it was as good as new.
We then went on to making a leaf and a filigree pendant before the end of our journey with metal clay for that day, For me the journey will definately continue as i have found a new passion to add to my jewellery making.

New Year, New Things To Learn

As the last year ended I made a pact with myself that 2012 was going to be the year that I was going to learn at least one new craft medium, That I was going to lose that stubborn stone and to make this the year that I dedicated to making my business the best it could be.
So have I made a start oh yeah and im so excited,I was like a kid in a sweet shop,I went onto my favourite sites www.etsy.com and www.folksy.com and bought new supplies to make hand stamp jewellery and clay jewellery and booked myself on a silver course with the wonderful Tracey spurgin of www.craftworx.com .
Yesterday I made my very first attempts at polymer clay work and made a steampunk heart and earrings set for myself ( will post pics when the sets are finished ).
And tonight sees me start on my weight loss journey with slimming world my friend is joining me to keep me on the straight and narrow and off the chocolate lol.
Well folks Thats all for now as the family are all now at home screaming its time for tea.

New Beginnings

Well 2011 has ended and WOW what a roller-coaster of a year me and my family have had, I began 2011 with a gorgeous new granddaughter Tia-Lily Blue who is just amazing and has made my life so much fuller.
2011 also saw me having a brand new logo, A new stockist Tabathas of Beverley, I was also honoured to have a full feature in my local newspaper The Beverley Advertiser.
I also held and organised my first charity ball in aid of several charities that are close to my heart, This was featured in another local publication The East Riding Journal I would like to thank Tickton Grange Hotel and all the artists who gave their time and of course all those who bought tickets and made the night such a success.
2011 saw me attend more fairs and add steam punk jewellery to my collections, I also became a volunteer for my local dove house hospice.
I am proud of what I have achieved in what was personally such a difficult year for my family and I.
My Aims For 2012
My Biggest Goal is to update my web-site, folksy, etsy and wowthankyou shops and keep them updated, I also aim to write blog posts at least once a week and feature tutorials,guest artists and things i find that may or may not be of interest to you my readers.
I would dearly love to improve my photographic skills as im still a novice although this may include a new camera at some point as mine seems to be quite blurry at the moment.
I have lots of new design ideas floating around in my head that I want to create and share with you,These include polymer clay steam punk hearts, Metal stamping designs and silversmithing for which I have booked myself on a course with the wonderful Tracey spurgin of craftworx in Feb 2012 OOo I am so excited lol.
Lastly I want to thank all of my wonderful gorgeous family,friends and customers for all your support throughout 2011 it means a lot to me so thank you.

So heres to a happy,healthy and productive 2012 for everyone

The Best Christmas for a while

Well this has been my best Christmas for a while as it was made extra special for me, Why ? Well I got to spend Christmas eve, Christmas day and boxing day in the company of my gorgeous mum & dad and my family and my darling granddaughter had just turned 1 and had so much fun unwrapping her presents.
The picture is of a glittered heart on my tree which is one of my fave decorations and made me realise my home is always full of love despite the difficult year me and my family have had.
So I want to say I love my family who have spoilt me this year as always and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2012.

A brilliant book and yummy macaroons

Well its a brand new week, Which means for me more brilliant books to read, I bought 2 new ones yesterday,Christmas magic by Cathy Kelly&Red Mist by Patrica Cornwell both of which I cannot wait to get stuck into.

But for the first time in a long time the book that I read last week, Christmas at Tiffany's by Karen Swan so inspired me and made me think wow I would love to do that or try that, It even had me dreaming of the little place she goes to in the book for macaroons, It was so vivid a dream the next day I had to buy some so off I went into my local town of Beverley to a little place called coco&violet who make the most amazing cupcakes to buy macaroons, I even bought some strawberry filled gooey goodies which I forget the name of.

I have to say both lots of darling little cakes were delicious I will definitely be going back to coco & violet for more of her goodies which are all home-baked.

And if you are a fan of books like I am then this is a book I can highly recommend for not only is it a story of love, passion, regret, and betrayal it is also a story of hope and all the fabulous things that can happen if you let them.

Sorry I have Been Distracted

What can I say apart from sorry that I have neglected my poor blog and my readers, But during the course of the past year I have been dealing with a major issue involving my granddaughter and her safety.
So my poor blog and my jewellery business have had to take a back seat in life, I have still been making in the background as I gained 2 new stockists for my wish bracelets this year, and I have also done a wedding fair and and Christmas shopping event.
But I am determined that the upcoming new year is going to be good news for you the readers of my blog as I plan to have regular tutorials, Interviews with other artists, Photographs of beautiful things to inspire and lust over whether this be in the form of fashion,Accessories,lifestyle, home-style I am hoping to have a little of everything for everyone all thrown together with a touch of glamour and a twinkle of sparkle.

Good Morning To All In Blogland,
I decided it was about time I got a new logo/banner that I could put on all my business pages to include my website,folksy & etsy shops,Blogs & all my promotional materials, It was made for me by the talented winchester lamborne over at http://www.etsy.com/ so pop on over to her place and take a look.

Time To Treat That Special Person

How excited am I, VERY for I can now reveal glitterbugwishes is making mens jewellery!!!
And as you all know we have reached that time of year again when we want to treat that special someone in our lives.
OUR FATHERS,OUR HUSBANDS AND GRANDADS ETC,And here at glitterbugwishes HQ I have just made up my first few items for that special man in your life.
I will only ever make one of each item unless it is a special request that you require more than 1 in your order.

Phew

Phew,
What a mad couple of months!! Ive had a grandaughter as some of you may know and mother and baby are now living with me full time so my house is definately bursting at the seams.... but have to say I am loving being a nan it ROCKS.....

I have also been madly organsing my first charity ball which was held on the 15th may which went quite smoothly until 2 days before when my band had to pull out due to lost voices, so we had a mad dash to find someone to replace them, our replacement mr neil evans did a fab job on the night.
The night was a success with all guests enjoying themselves, the venue food and staff at http://www.tictongrangehotel.com/ were outstanding. I must also give thanks to our very talented photography duo who gave us their time on the night to get some truly stunning photos, you can see our ball pictures on their website under glitterbugwishes ball may 15th @ http://www.meadowphoto.co.uk/ I can not rate these guys highly enough.

Good afternoon,
Well what another gorgeous summer day I hope everyone is enjoying it no matter where you are or what your doing....
I was supposed to be spending the day making goodies, and buying more supplies I need for the craft fair I am attending on the weekend.....well..............
That hasnt happened as ive spent the day instead searching for a band to play tonight for a friend of mine who was let down at the last minute, hoping someone can come to her rescue....as she is filming her bunny girl edition of sirens of the north for http://www.humber.tv.com/ from bar fusion Beverley, please pop along and offer your support....

I hope your all enjoying the sunshine on this gorgeous friday morning, I cant believe the months have flown past so quick,where does the time go.
Well here at glitterbugwishes hq I am excited at the launch of my new look website,I have to say I love it, Although at the moment not all my products are on the website so please bear with me whilst products are being added, I am also working on ideas for 2 new collections one to be with a vintage dazzle, so if your a lover of all things glamour sparkle and vintage keep checking back, the other is to be a mens range.

She was born on thurs 2nd dec at 1.20am weighing in at 6lb 130z and my daughter was so brilliant during labour she coped with hardly any pain relief and she was so quiet the midwife said she was the quietest women in labour they had had lol.....

Remembering those that have been loved and lost

Hi all,
Well its come to that time of year when we all remember those that have been loved and lost in the wars over the years, Its also a time when we may remember other people we have loved and lost throughout the years and makes us thankful for those we still have around us...
I sometimes forget to take a moment to truly look at those I love and be thankful and tell them I love them...I was reminded how precious life really is last week when some friends of my husbands lost a daughter suddendly in a car crash and one of his other friends died after a massive heart attack, sadly he had yet to meet both of these people but it was something he was looking forward to doing, now all he has are his memories of the chats they had and good giggles they shared...
So this week I decided on a special project to make a bracelet in the colours of the armed forces for remembrance day, this bracelet will be available for sale I aim to put it on all my shops for maximum exposure and I hope to make a donation to the royal british legion with some of the money..@ least 15%...
so can I kindly ask you all to take a look at my shops this will be a one of a kind design ....

After a good productive day yesterday I am pleased to announce the arrival of my new line of jewellery aimed at young girls......welcome to my glitterbug girls range, this range will include, bracelets, necklaces,hair accessories and jewellery kits....age range 3 upwards.. (shhhh dont say I told you so but big girls can wear these items too....)

This range of jewellery will be handcrafted from a range of materials to include swarovski crystals, glass beads, czech crystal beads, charms,silver plated materials and sterling silver charms and necklaces...each item will have its own description and price so you know what your getting, and each piece will come giftboxed...

A good start to the week

Good afternoon blogland,
Well this week I am starting as I mean to go on,with good intentions this is, so far this morning ive ordered the cabochons from america to make some one off cufflinks with.... made up my order list of other supplies I need for the upcoming projects I have in mind and sent of my list of interview answers for a blog im hoping to feature on within the next few weeks....
I am also planning today to start my fitness as I need to lose some pounds, I finally got the kick up the bum I needed when the zip broke on my fave pair of jeans and as a result its no more m&Ms for me,crisps or other naughty stuff, so today I am planning on starting gentle jogging progressing to running,I am also hoping to dig out the zumba dvds I bought and crack on with those, so wish me luck if you see a lady crumpled in a corner on your travells that will be lol ....
I bought myself 3 gorgeous books at the weekend as I want to expand my products at glitterbugwishes hq this will require me learning some new techniques and I will be testing out my products on family and friends for christmas and hopefully will have them up and running in the new year on my web-site....

I am so excited

Afternoon lovely people,
                                   I am so sorry I have negleted my blog for the past few weeks, but here at glitterbugwishes HQ, I have been up to my eyes in jewellery making as I have been exhibiting at hornsea freeport designer village most weekends, it has been fantastic to see all my customers old and new face to face and I am looking forward to going back with my new autumn winter collections in the run up to christmas, watch this space or my facebook page for dates nearer the time.....

Well as some of you may know I am having my first grand-baby in december a little girl and im so excited at the prospect.... my daughter will be coming home in two weeks so I can look after her her in the run up to the birth and I am her birthing partner as well so we have to get her booked into a hospital up here... well last week I couldnt resist, I saw a full sized dolls house for sale so bought it, I thought it the ideal project for nanny, grandaughter and auntie to tackle together as she grows up..... and today ive been out and bought her pram/pushchair in a vibrant pink and black colourway... pics to follow.....

Glitterbugwishes first wedding fair

Well sunday the 8th of august saw me doing my very first wedding fair, wow I couldnt belive how busy it was from the minute the doors opened to when the fair ended.
I got so many lovely and positive comments about my jewellery as well as enquiries for potential orders so thank you to all who stopped by the glitterbugwishes stand to say hello, it was lovely to meet you all...
The fair had various stands and all the stall holders were lovely, next to me was a lady who made the most delicious cakes and it was her first time too, and ohhhh boy are her cakes to die for she even gave me some cupcakes to take home so thank you elaine.. so if your looking for cakes of any sort I can recommend elaine from cakes and sweets http://www.cakesandsweets.co.uk/ go on you wont be left dissapointed and your tastebuds will definately be tickled....

Journal ladies day beverley

Wow what a fabtastic day we had, the sun shone, the wine flowed and laughter rang out from across the whole race enclosures....
the gents looked handsome in their suits we even saw one gent who looked very dapper in top hat and tails....
the ladies well wow what can I say every lady there had gone to so much trouble to take the time to looked absolutely stunning, there were long dresses, short dresses and hats and fascinators aplenty....
We even had the team from one of the local hull football teams at the end of our table and they came and went home in style in a gorgeous yellow hummer....
unfortunately for me I couldnt wear my gorgeous dress that I had originally planned to wear as I didnt leave enough time to get it altered, so note to self for next year start getting organised now!!!!!
Cnnot wait for next year as it promises to be even better....roll on ladies day 2011....

How many emotions.....

Good afternoon fellow bloggers,
This week has been a week of so many emotions for me, ive had my father in law in hospital having a triple heart bypass, my daughter upset over boys and the male species in general, plus her going missing for hours didnt help, thanx you to all those wonderful folksy folk who kept me sane on sunday..... although my carpet now has a bald patch lol....
thursday saw me my son and husband go off for the day to take our son to have a day at the college he will be attending in september, and also for him to look at his living quaters, it got me quite sad to think my son wont be home much anymore and its going to be quite hard to let him go, but i know we must and its going to be the making of him, for you see he is autistic and has very limited skills and no social life to speak of, so for him this opportunity is an exciting one, gaining new skills gaining a social life and hopefully lifelong friends for me its going to be quite different, im sure i will feel completely lost without him, worry hes eating ok, coping ok etc, but to see the gorgeous smile on his face will all be worth it....
And today I tried on the dress I had set my heart on for beverley ladies day in 2 weeks, and yippieeeeeeeeee it fits, although would still like to lose a couple more pounds just to be on the safe side, so I am on a mission for the next two weeks to drink @ least 8 glasses of water a day.
this for me will be a really tough challenge as I hate water!!!! but as its all for a gorgeous dress which I have spent a small fortune on aquiring I am sure I can sacrifice my tastebuds after all what do they know ....
now all I need is some gorgeous blue wedges to go with the dress so if any of you spot some please will you holler my way as they seem to be hiding from me....
Next personal challenge to make my own fascinator for beverley ladies day.... watch this space!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to have a day off from crafting friday and went for a coffee with my daughter into beverley, whilst strolling through one of the back streets we came across the most delicious shop.
How had I missed this placed ?? easy .. the shop had only been open for a few days, and its a minature heaven, an interiors and accessories shop with some gorgeously mouthwatering stunning items....
From mirrors to handcrafted handbags, I seriously suggest if you live in beverley or near beverley then pop into this charming place, you wont be dissapointed...

Prom season

Hiya Everyone,
Well its been a busy few weeks here at glitterbugwishes hq, as I have been getting jewellery ready for prom season, not to mention shopping with my daughter for her prom dress and everything else she needed...
I have now got my very own fairy godmother jan @ fairy godmothers ladygate beverley who waves her magic wand in her very special shop and hey presto you are kitted out in some fabulous dresses, I bought my daughters gorgeous baby pink and crystal encrusted dress from her and have also bought myself a gorgeous long crystal encrusted dress for ladies day in august and I have to say she is the most wonderful, caring patient and kindhearted lady I have ever met, not to mention her dresses make you feel a million dollers but you dont need the million doller price tag to shop there as her dresses are very reasonable.
If you have never been to this magical wonderful wonderland of a place oh boy you are in for a real treat....

Where does the time go ??

Hiya Everyone,
Wow where does the time go ?? these last few weeks seem to have flown past and my little fingers dont seem to have stopped.
I joined folksy and put a few of my items on there for sale, but had no luck as yet but it is still early days, but with the wedding/racing season now upon us im hoping the sales fairy will visit me..
I have also joined dreamaid and put a page on facebook which I try to update regulary, I have also updated my web-site with new revised prices, and at the moment I am wondering whether to offer vouchers for sale and a payment plan for the more expensive pieces I have for sale...

I am also about to join giftwrapped and gorgeous, and my jewellery has gone off to be photographed as I just had some flliers and brochures designed especially for me by the very talented bonnitta graphics on folksy... I knw what I wanted but could I describe it ... no not for the life of me lol but she was an angel very patient with me and in the end she came up with my perfect design and something I would have never dreamed off it is absolutely gorgeous and I cannot wait for it all to be in print.. can you tell im so very excited... thanx u hun xxx

Heart of a hero bracelet.......

Good morning folks,

I have been busy this week, taking some new pictures of my jewellery for folksy and making a bracelet for a charity ball tonight in aid of help for heroes, I decided on a bracelet and it is going to be part of the auction to raise money, this charity is close to my heart as I have family and friends in the armed forces.

I have called it heart of a hero as the bracelet is chock full of hearts,cos we women have huge hearts,I commissioned some gorgeously scrummy lampwork hearts from julie @ lush lampwork especially for this bracelet, I have teamed them with swarovski crystal hearts,swarovski crystal bicone beads,sterling silver charms that say,hope courage love and family,and a sterling silver heart charm that says hero which I had specially done and it is all on a sterling silver bracelet chain.....and it is in the colours of the armed forces.....

lets hope it raises a good amount for the charity......

All thats left for me to do today is make a chocker for myself for tonight,sort my nails, get hair done ohhhh and decide on what to wear, I have two dresses in mind a long purple dress which is plain and a black knee length dress which is magical as studded with crystals called dolly from monsoon.....

Well hello all,
Hope everyone is having a great bank holiday wherever in the world you are, the weather here is not so great so thought id do a bit of updating on my web-site etc....

So far havent managed to as been to busy exploring folksy and all its wonderful creative people there is some lush stuff on there, im also trying to set up a facebook shop but not having much luck think im being a little doh ....

I had some exciting news last week my eldest daughter is pregnant so im going to have my first granchild im excited but nervous .....

Phew what a couple of weeks the last few have been, do you ever get the feeling there is never enough hours in a day.

well ive been busy attending a couple of fashion shows promoting prom wear,evening wear and generally gorgeous stuff and of course glitterbugwishes jewellery.

Ive also had customer orders to fulfil from the shows and orders ive had in for jewellery for school proms.

this week I am going to be working on a special piece of jewellery which is going to be auctioned off at a charity ball next weekend,it is to raise funds for help for heroes and im lucky enough to also be attending, I cant wait as its going to be a full filled glamorous night and I cant wait to see all the ladies in their long ball gowns and the guys looking lush in their black tie....

Today I have been busy orderding some supplies for next weeks piece and other projects I have in mind, ive ordered some gorgeous hearts and beads from lush lampwork and ohhh boy is this web-site lush I wanted it all lol....also ordered more swarovski crystals,swarovski hearts,glass hearts and general findings from jillys.....

I have also opened a folksy shop please feel free to go along and have a look.... I will add more pictures when I have a little more time....

I am also thinking of opening an etsy account and would love to know how easy it is to use so if you have etsy in the uk id love to hear your comments both negative and possitive....

A new year a new start

Good morning everyone,

Well what can I say......it has been over a year since I last blogged, and yes I have missed it, but family life has been very hectic and my poor darling hubby has been really ill which has included several stays in the hospital and several operations for skin cancer,which has resulted in me not crafting as much in fact hardly at all.......

But as they say a new year demands a new start.... and i feel I have started 2010 on a postive note as my hubby is now on the mend..... I have redesigned my web-site and my mojo has come back with a bang......

January was a good month for me as I designed and made several new pieces of jewellery which have been snapped up by a local ladies wear boutique... and they are now in their new home.... so I hope whoever buys thems enjoys wearing the pieces as much as I enjoyed designing them....

I also designed and made a set of jewellery for a ball I went to which recieved many comments and led to me giving out several business cards on the night .....

I have got many ideas for the coming year some may not make it but I hope to have designed and made them all by the end of the year.......

Hello to all.
I am so glad january is over as its been a hectic time for me and my family, my weight loss is up and down but i am now back on track.

You see i have been at a loss for the past two weeks, as we lost my gorgeous, precious aunty suddenly,she was only 50 and she died of blood clots ( thrombosis ) which we now think runs in my family as she is the fourth person to suffer.

both her and my mum suffered clots in the legs aged 31, then at 45 it nearly killed my mum as she was in a coma with a clot in the center of her brain for 4 months,she then pulled through only to suffer 2 weeks later and lost all movement on her left side,3 weeks after this she had another behind her eye and lost her sight for 2 weeks......luckily my mum survived but spent over 2 years in hospital .

my grandad had clots and so did my uncle but im not sure how old they were, so at the moment but me and my daughter are undertaking blood tests to see if we carry this so its quite a scary time.

We buried my gorgeous aunty last monday and as you all know the snow hit full force,so trying to get from where we are to rotherham was not so good,she had a good send off but it was a very very emotional day......and grandad i know snow was your favourite but did you have to shower us with so much of the stuff.....im sure this was his way of saying shes safe as shes with me now and after all they always were two peas in a pod.

R.I.P. aunty christine, you were the sunshine that lit up all of ours lives... youve left a hole in our hearts forever, we will miss you and love you always xxxxxxxx

This loss has made me realise life and time are two short cherish those you love and always remember to say have i told you lately that i love you......to your familys.......

Hello to all you lovely people in the world of crafting....

I hope you all had a very lovely christmas and new year, mine was quiet but lovely we went out for the first time on new years eve to see friends my head was very sore the next day!!!

we have done a little exploring of our new town and some of the pubs (note to self ) dont drink triple sambuca on an empty stomach lol, made me quite tispy as id been on doubles anyway all evening and as we left the pub the model barge that was outside was just the place for a rest lol.

well i decided i wanted to be a happier me in 2009 so i joined weightwatchers thursday night and started eating the right foods yesterday i even walked to town and the dog all in one day i hear you ask lol, but im determined to do it this time as i need to lose at least a stone pref two as ive got my big four 0 in april and im maid of honor in dec so would like to look nice for both occasions.

well the kids seemed to have settled in our youngest started her new school last wed and had her first sleepover and party last night so she must be liking it mind you her old boyfriend/friend wasnt to pleased ahhhhhhhhh the joys of young love i remember it well

well im off for a well earned cuppa and to have a look at the haven site as thinking of booking a holiday for us and my parents to celebrate my mums 60th in august.

the big move

good afternoon all and a very merry christmas to everyone, hope santa brought each of you something nice or yummy.

well the move is finally completed and we are loving our new abode it is so peacefull here, although im sure it will take us some time to get completely settled and sorted, as it was a nightmare of the first order lol.

we couldnt get our furniture in through the doors we had to take everything through the garage, so for the first few days we sat our weary bottoms on garden chairs,and we ate takeaway as we had no idea how the cooker worked lol, chef im not !!!!

then we thought oh no we are going to have to take our settes up and over the garage roof and in through the back way to get them in, but no my clever hubby and a friend managed to get them through the back garage doors with a struggle although the conservatary doors did have to come off to get them completely in to the room but they are now in and its so nice to sit my bottom on softness lol.

then to top it off we couldnt find the one box that was IMPORTANT you guessed it it was one of the xmas pressies from santa a laptop we had got for our daughter so she could keep in contact with her mates which when your 14 is more important than breathing.

well after having the garage upside down we realised it wasnt here so we had to take a trip back to the old place to see if it had been left there but no there was no box i so wanted to cry, so my hubby thinks it was stolen when he went for a loo break while moving boxes into the van from the house so whoever you are you got a damn good early xmas pressie didnt you hope it blows up on ya !!!!!!

So with two days to go before santa was due we had to go out and replace the said laptop hubby was none to pleased but it was worth it to see our daughters face light up like a mountain of fireworks when we finally let her open it on xmas day.

as for me ive been a good girl so santa got me some yummy pressies a gorgoues snuggly cardi from river island that id had my eye on a box full of lush goodies for my nightly soaks in the bath yum...yumm, next gift vouchers and 2 lots of my fave perfumes complete with matching body lotion mmmmm my idea of heaven.

well good morning blogging world, I am just so excited I want to jump up and down and run around naked ( mm maybe thats going to far ) you see we finally have the gift we wanted for christmas OUR NEW HOUSE !!!
it seems like the process of sorting a mortgage has gone on forever well since august anyway but its now all sorted and we got our formal offer at the weekend yippie!!!
all the relevent checks have been done and we hope to move in on the 15th december so not long to go,so at the moment im up to my neck in boxes,paper,cellotape,glitter,glue,and beads yes me being as mad as I am im also making scrapbook memerioe albums and pieces of jewellery for christmas pressies, my family think im stark raving mad yep thats me lol

so with christmas pressies,decorations,food,wrapping paper,glitter and glue still to buy im in for one hell of a ride but hey im the christmas fairy so ill just click my heels wave my wand and hey presto it will all get done.

I want to say a very special thankyou to all the cb ladies who sent me messages and cards recently you made me very humble and you made me cry but laugh at the same time and oh boy did i need a bit of laughter so ladies thankyou from the bottom of my heart xxxxxxx

life is not a box of choclates

I feel its finally time to get my life back in order,you see this past year for me has been hell!!! and that is putting it mildly.
it all started last november when we found out our darling son had been the victim of sexual assualt and not just by one person but a gang the leader of this gang was a girl,as you can imagine all sorts were going on in my head to say I wanted to commit murder was an understatement!!!
this led to a police investigation and interviews for my son and daughter which was heartbreaking to watch especially as I knew what they were going through as im a surviour of abuse.

as if that wasnt enough earlier this year my darling hubby was told he had skin cancer and had to have an operation we were both very scared but the support I got was tremendous ladys you know who you are xxx
but to make matters worse my husband changed from being loving to nasty and he did the worst thing he could by hitting out at me,this made me question everything and it has been touch and go for the past few months whether we would make it but we are still together and stronger than ever and the best bit they got all the cancer.

in the summer we got the news that the police were dropping my sons case due to lack of mobile phone evidence ( yes they had taped what they were doing ) even though all had involved had admitted they were they blah blah livid is more than I felt once again the system had protected the guilty, my son can no longer go out as we are scared of what will happen to him this is harder on him than us but as a mum what choice do I have.

we have made the decision to move which has had added complications such as finding new schools and a college for the kids which isnt easy as they are well into their school years and with the boys being autistic this has given my life added stress.

then last week my daughter self harmed luckily it wasnt as bad as it could have been but it made us realise shes not as strong as she was saying and that she has a lot of anger inside due to what happened to her brother ( it was her that intial found out ) plus she feels guilty as we all do especially me as a mum that I couldnt protect him.

over the last few months I have so wanted to commit murder,and give up both at the same time I have found myself going into myself and not wanting to bother with the world but I now realise my kids and my hubby need me to be strong and to get us through whatever life throws at us and today something happened to make me relise im not alone in the world and I cried like a baby something that had been inside of me for a while I think.

On a lighter note ive decided life is for living and to be happy no matter what and I remember a saying my grandad taught me ( love you grandad ) what doesnt kill us only makes us stronger.

after all I have the love of a good family,my few very special friends and friends that I havent met yet but who have shown me I am not alone ladies of cb forum you are a very special bunch but there is one who has gone out of her way to make me a special card and post messages which I recieved today sarah ( tiggertastic ) you are a true friend thank you so much what you did today makes me feel very blessed.
and just to let you know ill be back on the cb forum with a bang and ladies ive MISSED you all too .

Hello again, this week seems to have really flown by,my boys started back to school on tuesday and I began teaching my daughter at home,not an easy task lol, she thinks as im her mum ill go easy on her so weve had quite a few tantrums but now she has realised im not giving in and sending her back to school she seems to have settled into doing the work as today she seemed to enjoy it,ha! ha! wait till she sees what ive got in store for her tomoro,shes gonna hate me!

My gothic rose bracelet and the dasy daisy bracelet have also gone up to Uber this week so hopefully they will have new owners soon.

My mojo seems to have left me in the lurch a little bit this week as I havent really created anything new although this may change tomoro as I should get my parcel of goodies from jilly beads mmmmmmmm.

This week I decided to apply to be on a design team for one of the cb members as I love a challenge and hopefully this will push my boundrys as well to try new things so heres the atc I have created for this weeks challenge.

I hope you like it,its called dare to dream,I used pearlescent watercolour paints in bronze,gold and yellow as a colourwash background,once dry I doodled on it and went over the doodle with glitter,the picture I got from an old mag so a bit of recycle as well,added a bit of sparkle with gems and glittered wings and finally I made a beaded butterfly, not to pleased with this though but then never made a butterfly before,anyway hope you like.

Grrrrrrrrr what can i say i have decided i dont like web-sites lol, i have spent this weekend getting more and more frustrated.
why you ask well i was asked if i had some pictures of my jewellery so i decided to update my website to add what i had made and descriptions, all went well or so i thought!!!!
until i signed out and decided to go on-line and have a look only to find my web-site still contained all my old details, i was not amused!!!!
that was on friday so i tried again on sat still no luck so wrote an email to web-site provider who i have to say have tried to help with suggestions as to what the probs could be, did as they suggested, so sun tried again nope still hadnt worked, by now i wanted to throw the comp through the window so i went onto my hubbys laptop wey hey there were my new details, so came back onto my comp and alas no i wanted to scream all i got were my old details, confused was not in it lol, so contacted provider again got a reply with details of how to rectify the situation, done all that to the letter and yep you guessed it its still not working, and now to top it all off i cant even access the web-site provider, so i may yet throw this comp out of the window lol.

busy but frustrated

hello all well what can i say these past few months have been very stressfull for me and my family.
i would like to thank you all for your kind thoughts while paul was ill, thankfully all the cancer has now been removed wey hey xxx.
but i have to say my hobbies kept me busy one of them may have turned into a part time paying job for me as im designing and making jewellery for a local boutique and people have asked me to do several jewellery parties so this is going to keep me busy.
as well as this due to a horrid event happening concerning one of our children as a family we have made the decision to re-locate which means looking for 2 new schools and a college plus a new house and only 5 wks to do it in, as in the meantime i will be home-schooling one of our children talk about hectic, but hey i strive on stress lol.

Hello all it has been a while since i wrote anything on here but with one thing and another my life has been hectic these past few weeks, ive done more card commissions and on friday my hubby was told he had to have surgery as he has skin cancer so its a very scary time for all of us here at the moment.

what a day

hello to all, well what a horrid windy and wet day it is, I hope everyone is safe and warm.
I wasn,t going to venture out at all today but I had to take my daughter to the doctors as she was in pain and had a lump on her tummy this was her second visit this week as it was casualty monday with the same prob they sent her home as lump had gone down and today the doc tells me it could be a hernia so he is arranging for her to have a scan at the local hospital so hopefully soon we will know whats going on.
I have added some pictures of recent commissions to my blog i hope you like them I will add some pictures everyday if possible.
I will try and write everyday if not at least once a week well thats all from me for now I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Hello and welcome to my blog.
I will be posting my new card designs on here as and when I complete them, I will also write my daily thoughts,frustrations etc.
I decided to clear out my conservatary today and turn it into my dedicated craft space as my hubby was getting fed up of my clutter everywhere,so ive ordered three new storage units for all my bits and pieces so that eventually each of my card supplies will have a home, rather than live in a messed up pile on the dining table.
I can now concentrate on my next commission which is for a batch of cards ranging in styles from birthdays to christmas for my friends salon down south I plan to do about 30 for the end of march I will post pictures when I have finished them.
I now have a website up and running and you can view this at www.freewebs.com/glitterbugwishes I decided to do this as everyone kept telling me I should sell my cards and in feburary I was commissioned by a local beauty salon owner to do an 18th card which then led to me doing her a mothers day card and she has also requested I do a portfolio of my work so she can display it in the salon so hopefully this will lead to bigger things.
